Many of the fundamental principles that underpin the theory and practice of Qigong are introduced and explored during a one-day workshop. After some gentle stretching and warm-up exercises, the aspects of breath work and energy flow in the body are explored via some simple qigong movements. As there are many styles and types of qigong, some will be discussed and others will be practised during the workshop.
To round off the day, there will be guided meditation and visualisation exercises designed to pull together all of the positive health and relaxation aspects of the day. A Qigong workshop is an enriching experience that will leave you with a feel-good factor that will last for weeks.

This workshop is a must for people who wish to explore the benefits of Qigong for the first time or who wish to revisit some of the essential principles of healing and deep relaxation. One-day workshops may be arranged for an individual doing the workshop on a one-to-one basis or for a group of up to four people booking together for a group workshop.
Qigong, (Chi Kung) is an ancient Chinese energy cultivation technique. Its aim is to stimulate and balance the flow of chi, or "vital energy" through the body. Using easy-to-follow combinations of controlled breathing, focused concentration, and simple movements Qigong exercises help to remove blocks and increase the flow of energy through your body. When it flows free, Chi energy heals and restores the body.
With Qigong you will be required to gently move and stretch the body, so loose comfortable clothing is a must. Natural fibres such as cotton or linen are recommended. At your first class your instructor will guide you through some of the simple physical movements and advise on best posture. You will be introduced to breathing techniques and guided meditation exercises to deepen relaxation and promote healing.
